“Haunted” Harley Clarke Mansion Opens Long-Shuttered Doors for Halloween Trick-Or-Treating

Event Details
After a decade behind closed doors, Evanston’s historic Harley Clarke Mansion will transform into a spectacular haunted Halloween destination, welcoming trick-or-treaters and curious community members on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31, from 4–8 p.m. The festivities will also feature activities for all ages, live music and a lakefront beer garden open until 10 p.m.
From 4–7 p.m., the frights will be family-friendly. From 7–8 p.m., organizers will turn up the fright factor for bigger thrills.
Elaborate Halloween decorations, ghostly apparitions, holograms and surprises will bring the historic lakefront property to life. Trick-or-treaters can get a rare glimpse inside several hauntingly decorated rooms.
Young visitors receive full-size, “customized” candy bars. Grown-up ghouls get a buy-one-get-one offer on adult beverages at the Harley Clarke Beer Garden.
Live Music:
Friday, Oct. 30: Stephen Kohler at 5 p.m. and Jeremy Vannatta at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 31: Dave Herrero and Friends at 4 p.m. and Abby Rey at 7 p.m.
