Car Stolen From Alley Behind Homer's Ice Cream
A man left his girlfriend's car running in the alley behind Homer's moments before it was stolen.

WILMETTE, IL - A man who left his girlfriend's car running in the alley behind Homer's Ice Cream shop on New Year's Eve had the car stolen as he was inside the business.
Wilmette police responded to the alley behind Homer's, 1237 Green Bay Road at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 and were told by the man that he parked his girlfriend's white Chevrolet Sonic in the alley as he went inside.
The vehicle had the key fob inside the vehicle while it was running, according to police.

A surveillance video shows the car was stolen by two black men. It was located shortly after through OnStar and recovered by police in Chicago at 1911 Chase Ave. in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
Police have not announced an arrest in the case.
