As its nears the end of its centennial year, Chalet Landscape, Nursery and Garden Center in Wilmette is ringing in the holiday season with special events and unique items for home, hearth and holiday.

This year, as it has since 1917, Chalet is making spirits bright through a variety of activities for the whole family:

Holiday Demonstration Weekend

Saturday, Nov. 18 and Sunday, Nov. 19, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Learn the latest trends in holiday decorating – and how to replicate them at home. Stop by Chalet for free 15-minute “how-to’s” focused on creative decorating and entertaining. The schedule is as follows:

Yes, the holidays are for pets, too. Santa is looking forward to meeting your pets at Chalet this holiday season.

Family Holiday Celebration

Saturday, Nov. 25 and Sunday, Nov. 26, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bring the kids, the dog and everyone! Hear the wonderful holiday story of "Oliver the Ornament" from author Todd Zimmerman. We will have some fun arts and crafts and you can even visit Santa's reindeer!
