'Christmas On Cleveland' Up And Running In Wilmette

The North Shore's best Christmas display will raise money for the Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago this year.

WILMETTE, IL - The dazzling display at "The Christmas House" in Wilmette is back in 2017. The show is "up and running" already, organizer Meg Maris told Wilmette-Kenilworth Patch this week.

The home at 1200 Cleveland Street in Wilmette has been a go-to spot for residents across the North Shore and surrounding Chicagoland regions for years. It's the brainchild of Steve Maris, Meg's husband, who is a self-described "Christmas buff."

The show will run from 4:30-9 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and from 4:30-10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the Christmas season.

On Dec. 15, the Maris family will hold a fundraiser event for Lurie's Children's Hospital of Chicago from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to show up and see Santa Clause, enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cookies and donate to the cause. There will be free giveaways for kids as well.
