CINEMA RETRO Series at the Wilmette Theatre
5 Great Films Served Up Retro Style with the Wilmette Theatre's Cinema Retro series debuting January 18 with THE DEER HUNTER
Ever wish going to the movies was like it used to be—with cartoons instead of trailers before the film, lush scores instead of loud beats, acting greats instead of lightweights on screen? Now, with the launch of the Wilmette Theatre’s CINEMA RETRO, you can enjoy this nostalgic movie-going experience once again.
CINEMA RETRO, running mostly Sundays at 3pm starting January 18, brings the most influential movies of the 1960s and 70s back for a return engagement. Before each film—your host, George Mangan will treat moviegoers to a film score montage from the CINEMA RETRO film series, a brief introduction to the film’s awards, talent, reception, and behind-the-scenes stories, and a classic cartoon.
Come see the great films of yesterday, digitally re-mastered for an enhanced viewing experience today. Senior discounts available when children or grandchildren accompany classic film buffs. Discounts are also available when buying the full film series package.
