College Credits: Local Students Earn Degrees, Make Dean's Lists

These Wilmette and Kenilworth college students earned academic distinctions and degrees over the past semester.

WILMETTE, IL — Spring semester this year has been an unprecedented one for students and educators at all institutions of higher education. While many commencement ceremonies have been cancelled or moved online in recent weeks, local students have continued to earn academic distinctions and degrees. Wilmette-Kenilworth Patch recognizes their accomplishments below.

Aviva Abrams, of Wilmette, graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Bradley University.

Allyce Armstrong, of Wilmette, graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science in human environmental science.

Alice Elizabeth Beberdick, of Wilmette, who is majoring in theatre arts, was named to the dean's list at the University of Iowa for the spring semester.

Will Bobesink, of Wilmette, who is in the mechanical engineering technology program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Dylan Bruno, of Wilmette, who is in the microelectronic engineering program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, was named to its dean's list, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Noah Bruno, of Wilmette, a senior at York College of Pennsylvania who is majoring in marketing, was named to the dean's list for spring 2020.

Cameron Coughlin, of Wilmette, graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor's degree in emerging media.

Jacob Conterato, of Wilmette, graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, with a bachelor's degree in studio art.

Noelle Dondanville, of Wilmette, was named to the dean's list at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, which includes undergraduate students ranked in the top 20 percent of their academic divisions.

Ryan Foy, of Wilmette, graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in cinema.

Samuel Gagerman, of Wilmette, who graduated with a degree in management information systems business analytics, was named to the dean's list at Bradley University for the spring semester, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.5.

Olivia Gentzkow, of Wilmette, who is majoring in business, was named to the dean's list at the University of Iowa for the spring semester.

Matt Ghiselli, of Wilmette, was named to the dean's list at Miami University in Ohio, which includes undergraduate students ranked in the top 20 percent of their academic divisions.

Charles Gruner, of Wilmette, was one of a record 351 student athletes at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, to be named to the Tiger Pride Honor Roll, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Kathryn Gruner, of Wilmette, graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, with a degree in communication.

Sarah Goff, of Kenilworth, was among the record 351 student athletes at DePauw University, to be named to the Tiger Pride Honor Roll, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Liam Guthrie, of Kenilworth, who is in the game design and development program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, was named to its dean's list, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Anne Hasson, of Wilmette, graduated from the University of San Diego with a bachelor's degree in communications studies.

Abigail Hidder, of Wilmette, graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in sport and recreation management.

Winfield Jones, of Kenilworth, who is in the digital humanities and social sciences program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, was named to its dean's list, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Autumn Kalis, of Wilmette, was awarded the Most Valuable Performer award for the women's basketball team at Carthage College in Kenosha.

Jessica Kalis, of Wilmette, was also one of the record 351 student athletes at DePauw University, to be named to the Tiger Pride Honor Roll, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Jack Kessler, of Wilmette, who is majoring in social media marketing, was named to the Bradley University dean's list.

Benjamin Keilberg, of Wilmette, who is majoring in interdisciplinary studies, was named to the dean's list at the University of Iowa for the spring semester.

Brendan Kenny, of Wilmette, graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in finance.

Gillian Klise, of Wilmette, was named to the spring dean's list at the University of Rhode Island, which requires earning a grade point average of at least 3.3.

Adrien Lana, of Wilmette, who is majoring in mechanical engineering at Miami University in Ohio, was named to the president's list for the spring semester, which includes the top 3 percent of undergraduate students in each division.

Samantha Letchinger, of Wilmette, who is majoring in nursing, was named to the dean's list at Bradley University.

James Liang, of Wilmette, who graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, was named to the dean's list at the University of Iowa for the spring semester.

Ashley Lynch, of Wilmette, was named to the dean's list at Miami University in Ohio, which includes undergraduate students ranked in the top 20 percent of their academic divisions.

Michael Lynch, of Wilmette, graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in finance.

Nicole Lynch, of Wilmette, was named to the spring 2020 dean's list at Ohio University, which requires at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Mary Maloney, of Wilmette, graduated from Colorado College with a degree in history and psychology.

Alyssa Ulbert, of Wilmette, who is majoring in marketing, was named to the dean's list at the University of Iowa for the spring semester.

Finnegan Wagstaff, of Wilmette, a senior majoring in comedic arts at Emerson College in Boston, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester, which requires a grade point average of 3.7 or greater.

Amanda Watson, of Wilmette, was named to the spring dean's list at the University of Rhode Island, which requires earning a grade point average of at least 3.3.

Max Wengroff, of Wilmette, for being named to the dean's list at Muhlenberg College for spring semester, which requires a grade point average of 3.5 or greater.

Hailey Werth, of Wilmette, was named to the dean's list at Miami University in Ohio, which includes undergraduate students ranked in the top 20 percent of their academic divisions.

Caroline Williams, of Wilmette, graduated from Colorado College with a degree in English.

Katherine Winslow, of Kenilworth, graduated last month from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, earning a bachelor's degree in in global studies.
