ComEd Update: 698 Wilmette Customers Without Power

The village issued an e-alert at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

All traffic lights are up and running, according to Wilmette Police Chief Brian King.

Roughly 90 percent of the original in Wilmette have been restored as of Thursday morning, according to an e-alert from the village.

Meanwhile ComEd has four crews working to repair the remaining 698 blackouts, which should be up and running by Saturday, the alert states.

The village is continuing to caution residents that restored power may again go out due to "tree branches falling on wires or required intentional outages by ComEd to facilitate their restoration efforts." Any new power damage should be reported to ComEd via 1-800-Edison-1.
