Dine And Dash Reported At Wilmette Restaurant

Wilmette police say a couple made off without paying for two entrées and two glasses of wine from Torino Ramen on Friday the 13th.

WILMETTE, IL -- A couple who came in to wine and dine at a popular Japanese restaurant in Wilmette apparently had no plans on staying for the bill. Two offenders pulled the infamous "dine and dash" at the Torino Ramen restaurant on Wilmette Avenue last week, according to Wilmette police.

Police responded to the restaurant at 1162 Wilmette after 9 p.m. on the night of Friday, Oct. 13 and were told by a server that a couple entered the restaurant and ordered a glass of wine and an entrée.

The man left before the food arrived and the woman ate her entrée and a portion of the other with a second glass of wine, police wrote in a report.
