The Wilmette Historical Museum will host a special reception featuring their newest exhibit, "Local Color: Art and Artists in Wilmette, 1900-1960," on Thursday, March 10, 2011, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Historical Museum, 609 Ridge Road.

The works of art featured in the exhibit offer varied delights, including Dick Tracy newspaper cartoons by Chester Gould, a George Lusk mural of early Wilmette, Christian Carsten's imaginative wood-carvings, and Marian Witt's whimsical lithographs.

All are invited and light refreshments will be served. For more information, visit our website at wilmettehistory.org or phone the Museum at (847) 853-7666.
