Local residents are invited to “Explore the Amazon” during a Wilmette Public Library-sponsored field trip to The Field Museum on May 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participants will explore the Museum’s new exhibition that immerses visitors in adventures with scientists who promote conservation from South America to Chicago. The $25 fee includes bus transportation to and from the library, admission, and lunch. Registration begins on April 7 at the Recent Arrivals Desk; payment is due upon registration.
This event is part of the Wilmette Public Library's 2012 "One Book, Everybody Reads" program, which is featuring best-selling author Ann Patchett's latest novel, "State of Wonder."
