Saxophone Concert

Michael Krenn, a 26 year-old Viennese musician who has won several international competitions, will play a classical saxophone concert accompanied by pianist Yoko Yamada-Selvaggio.  Prior to his August 26th appearance at the Library, Krenn will perform on August 22nd at the Chicago Cultural Center as part of the Dame Myra Hess classical music series that presents promising young artists.  That concert will be heard live on WFMT.  Krenn, who will be visiting from Austria, is a graduate of the conservatory of the University of Vienna. He has won international competitions in Poland and Thailand.
