The Henry Opening Next Month At Plaza Del Lago In Wilmette

WILMETTE, IL — Wilmette will welcome a new restaurant June 3 when The Henry opens at Plaza del Lago.

The opening adds the all-day dining concept to the lakefront shopping center’s mix of dining, retail and lifestyle destinations.

The Henry is known for moving from morning coffee service to late-night cocktails. The restaurant is opening as Plaza del Lago continues a broader revitalization that is aimed at enhancing the property while preserving its historic character and walkable charm.

The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch with what the announcement describes as a seasonal, chef-driven menu. Signature dishes include Short Rib Potstickers and the Harvest Bowl.

Brunch offerings will include the Original Egg Sandwich, while mornings will feature housemade pastries and specialty coffee for dine-in or to-go service.

The bar program will include classic cocktails with seasonal spritzes and signature stirred drinks, according to the announcement. Reservations are now available at TheHenryRestaurant.com.

The Wilmette location spans 5,400 square feet. The space is centered around a circular bar and includes dark woods, marble finishes, leather banquettes and a forestry-inspired mural. Gallery walls will feature regional references and vintage elements, and the design continues outside with a wraparound patio framed by greenery and awnings.

The opening also brings hiring to Plaza del Lago. The Henry is hosting an on-site job fair from April 27 through May 17, with no sessions scheduled May 3 and May 10. According to the announcement, the restaurant is hiring 164 team members across front of house, back of house and management roles.
