Home Invasion is Second in Same Wilmette Neighborhood in a Week

More than $4,000 worth of items were reported stolen in a home invasion reported to have taken place between 6:30-8:15 p.m. on Saturday in the 500 block of Kin Court in Wilmette.

Police reports indicate an unknown subject gained access to the locked residence with “bruit force to the front door” and made off with two small safes, various jewelry items and coins.

Brian King, Wilmette Chief of Police, said the last burglary reported in that neighborhood was an attempted residential burglary in the 400 block of Locust one week prior.
