WILMETTE, IL — This weekend, Winterfest returns bringing entertainment, performances and food to Downtown Wilmette.

From ice sculpture demos to poet clowns, Wilmette Winterfest promises a family-friendly day of fun. Guests can enjoy a free movie showing of Smallfoot at The Wilmette Theatre, guitarist Alfonso Ponticelli performing at The Patrician Gallery, Mosy-Posy the poet clown at Koya Restaurant, performances by S.N.A.P. dance group, free hot apple cider crafted by Central Station Coffee & Tea, a bounce house on village green, games in Ouilmette Way, and more.

"Make it a full day of family fun and dine at one of the many Wilmette restaurants for lunch and pop into our local shops," officials said in a statement.

The timeline of events for the day on Feb. 7 includes:

  • 12:00 p.m.: Bounce house on Village Green, and games in Ouilmette Way
  • 1:00 p.m.: Complimentary Hot Apple Cide
  • 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.: Ice Sculptor demonstrations
  • 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.: Mosy-Posy the poet clown at Koya at 1116 Central Ave.
  • 2:00 p.m.: Free movie showing of Smallfoot at The Wilmette Theatre at 1122 Central Ave.
  • 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.: Guitarist Alfonso Ponticelli at The Patrician Gallery at 1135 Central Ave
  • 3:30 p.m.: SNAP Dance Performance
