Jewel Employee Used Shopper's Lost Credit Card to Buy Lotion at CVS: Police

Management of the Jewel store in the Plaza Del Lago shopping center in Wilmette have suspended an employee who is accused of using a credit card a shopper had mistakenly left at the store to buy a bottle of lotion at the nearby CVS and later return the bottle.

The 47-year-old Chicago woman was cited for theft at 6:09 p.m. on August 3. Police said she found the lost credit card while working, walked over to CVS to purchase an “inexpensive” bottle of lotion and then returned the lotion back to the credit card.
