Kenilworth Man Gets Probation for Sexual Assault

Douglas Gill plead guilty to two fourth degree sexual assault misdemeanors in connection with assault at University of Wisconsin.

A 20-year-old Kenilworth man will not serve jail time for a sexual assault he was accused of on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus less than a year ago.

Douglas Gill, formerly of Winnetka, was sentenced to three-years probation by a Dane County judge last week, the Chicago Tribune reports. As part of an agreement, Gill plead guilty to two fourth degree sexual assault misdemeanors in addition to false imprisonment charges and will need to maintain “absolute sobriety” and have no contact with the victim during his probation.

Gill - then a student at the Madison school - was originally charged with third degree sexual assault, a felony, hours after an investigation began on May 10, 2014 - eight days after the alleged attack at a University dormitory.
