Local Poll: Clinton Will Face Bush in 2016 Presidential Election

An early poll of local voters indicates the belief that Hillary Clinton will face Jeb Bush in the 2016 Presidential Election.

The New Trier Democrats organization polled 321 local residents at the recent Wilmette, Winnetka and Glencoe summer fairs, according to a community post on the Daily North Shore. A secret ballot was used and the poll included Democrats, Republicans and Independents.

About 78 percent of the respondents expect Clinton to win the Democratic nomination, with Bernie Sanders as the only other possibility receiving notable support at 13 percent. 55 percent expect Bush to be the Republican nominee, with Donald Trump next at 7 percent.
