Low —Income Home Energy Assistance Applications Event at Township

Application Event To Be Held January 14, 2019 in Winnetka

In January New Trier Township and the North Shore Senior Center begin their fourth year of partnership, offering local application access to income eligible households wishing to apply for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) grants. The assistance grants help families remain safe and healthy during severely cold Illinois winters. Representatives of the North Shore Senior Center will be on-site at the New Trier Township Hall in Winnetka on January 14, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

LIHEAP applications are taken by appointment only. Applicants should phone (847) 784-6040 to secure a time with a program representative.

In order to apply for the LIHEAP program, the following documentation is required:
• Proof of Social Security number for all members of the household
• Utility bills issued within the last 30 days
• Proof of current 30-day gross income for all household members
