Metra Trains Halted Near Kenilworth

Police activity in Kenilworth halted trains on Metra’s Union Pacific North line Friday night.

Inbound and outbound trains remained stopped as of 7 p.m. due to police activity, according to Metra’s website. They were later up and running again by 8:30 p.m. 

The cause of the police activity is not known, but the Chicago Tribune reports it “appears to be a body lying on a platform at the Kenilworth stop.”

As of 7:45 p.m., it is unclear when service will resume.
