New Craft Beer Festival Coming To Wilmette
The inaugural Great St. Joe Craft Beer Festival is set for Saturday.

WILMETTE, IL — A new festival looking to capitalize on the popularity of local brewing, as the inaugural Great St. Joe Craft Beer Festival is set for Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The event is a prelude to the 14th annual St. Joseph's Oktoberfest celebration and benefits the Catholic school and parish.
The new festival is is being sponsored by the school's parent organization and produced by Oswego-based Brew Avenue Events. The beer fest is scheduled to include such local breweries as:
- Sketchbook Brewing Co. (Evanston)
- Smylie Brothers Brewing Co. (Evanston)
- Temperance Beer Co. (Evanston)
- Ninety Brewing Co. (Glenview)
- Revolution Brewing (Chicago)
- Right Bee Cider (Chicago)
- Alarmist Brewing (Chicago)
- North Shore Cider Co. (Evanston)
- Macushla Brewing Co. (Glenview)
- Nevin's Brewing Co. (Plainfield)
Tickets for the Craft Beer Festival include a sample of more than a dozen different beers and souvenir tasting glasses. Other St. Joseph's Oktoberfest events run throughout the day at the intersection of Lake and Ridge avenues in Wilmette Saturday. A free family fest runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., coinciding with the 21+ beer festival. There is also an antiques market set to run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. An evening dinner and outdoor requires tickets, which can be purchased for just the nighttime party.
