New Trier Township seeks help from the community to offset the typical decline in food pantry donations during the summer months. Each week/month, throughout the year, 88 local families rely on the pantry for food and household items. With children home from school during the summer months, many of these families face an increased need.

The items most needed include:

• Fresh produce delivered on Mondays or Tuesdays
• Cookies, crackers, granola bars
• Juice and juice boxes
• Cooking oils, salad dressings, condiments, pasta sauce
• Facial tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, full-size cleaning supplies
• Full-size shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash, toothbrushes
• Canned meats - tuna, chicken, salmon
• Diapers- especially size newborn, 1, 2 &3

While the Township appreciates any and all donations, they respectfully request no canned beans, macaroni & cheese or Cheerios, as they have a surplus of these items.

Donations can be dropped-off at the Township Food Pantry M-F between 9am and 5pm. Offices are located at 739 Elm Street, Winnetka, IL.
