New Trier Township & Maine Township Election Results

WINNETKA, IL — A group of three candidates who challenged the traditional caucus slating process to create the first contested township trustee election in living memory were defeated. Independents Kathy Myalls, Bob Costello and Stacey Woehrle trailed their nearest competitors on the New Trier Economy Party slate of Kevin Boyd, Gail Schnitzer Eisenberg, Elliott Robbins and John Thomas by about 4,000 votes.

In Maine Township, partisan slates were narrowly divided, with preliminary results showing three Republicans in the top three positions. However, the unofficial count from the office of the Cook County Clerk has Democrat Claire McKenzie leading Republican Kelly Schaefer by 65 votes.
