Palzet Leaving Wilmette Schools for Superintendent Post

Dave Palzet, Administrator of 5-8 Education, will leave District 39 to become superintendent of Pleasantdale District 107, according to a letter posted by Wilmette School District 39 Superintendent Ray Lechner on the district’s web site this week.

“In his ten years with us, Dave has been an outstanding leader, always in service of children and families and dedicated to the betterment of our schools,” Lechner said. “While he will be sorely missed here, I know he is more than ready for the challenges he’ll face in his new position.”

Palzet will remain in his role as D-39’s administrator for 5-8 education, in which he serves as principal for both Highcrest Middle School and Wilmette Junior High, for the remainder of the school year, which Lechner says will “give us the opportunity to carefully evaluate candidates and select the best person to fill this important role.”
