Penis Penned on Improperly Parked Car, Police Told

WILMETTE, IL — A crude parking job provoked an obscene anatomical defacement last week near the intersection of 3rd Street and Linden Avenue in Wilmette.

On the morning of Thursday, April 20, a woman contacted police and notified them her car had been parked overnight in violation of a sign stating, "No Parking Here to Corner," according to police reports.

She had called not to voluntarily apply for a belated parking ticket but to report some vigilante parking enforcement had visited criminal damage upon her vehicle, police said.

Wilmette police duly recorded her report: An unknown person had written in marker, “STOP PARKING LIKE A DICK” and drew a penis on the vehicle’s window.
