Police: Subject Involved in Accident Charged with D.U.I.

Theft
An employee at the Walgreens located at 3232 Lake Ave. reported that a male subject driving a brown truck took a basket of various items from the store without paying and fled, police reports state. There was a "how is my driving?" bumper sticker on the vehicle. 

Driving Under the Influence
Michael Curtis, 32, from Chicago — a subject involved in an accident at Lake Ave. and the I-94 overpass — was located, transported to the hospital and charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene, driving too fast for conditions, failure to report an accident, failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to notify SOS of address change, police reports state. An alcohol test was refused and he was bonded out at Skokie hospital and will be processed at a later date.

Criminal Damage
An unknown person at the Romona School — at 600 Romona Rd. — cut the rope on the flag pole, causing the American flag to fall to the ground, police reports state. 

Lost Article

A victim at Panda Express — located at 3232 Lake Ave. — reported that she left her wallet in the restroom and it was not recovered by store employees, nor was it turned in by patrons, police reports state. The incident occurred between June 11 and June 12.

An 81-year-old female resident was found by public works employees lying in the grass on the 3400 block of Washington Ave., police reports state. She did not remember falling down, nor did she know how long she was lying there. She refused medical attention, signed a waiver and was taken home. 

Cannabis Arrest

Alexander a Ivanov, 24, of Mount Prospect received a local ordinance citation for the possession for cannabis, police reports state. The incident occurred near Gillson Park on June 12.
