'Quick Change' Scam Nets Thieves $200: Police

A man and a woman pulled off the stunt at the Jewel on Sheridan Road in Wilmette on Sunday, cops say.

WILMETTE, IL - A "quick change" scam netted two slick thieves $200 from the Jewel in Wilmette over the weekend.

Police say a man and woman entered the grocery store at 1517 Sheridan Rd. between 1:16 p.m. and 1:35 p.m. on Sunday and pulled off the scam for a profit of about $200.

The man was described as white, 30-40 years olf, 5'8" with dark hair and a pot belly. The woman is also white and between 30-40 years old, heavy set with dark hair.

Police say they are reviewing video of the incident.
