Rotary Club of Wilmette 2016 Gala Benefit “Wine, Dine & Dance Latin Style“ Supports Valued Service Projects

Rotary Club of Wilmette 2016 Gala Benefit Friday Evening Nov. 4th

The Wilmette Rotary Club’s 8th Annual Benefit Party, termed “Wine, Dine & Dance Latin Style,” will highlight South America, Spain and their fine wines and gourmet hors d'oeuvres plus live music, silent and live auctions, professional dance performances, Tango lessons, magic, festivities and fun. All starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday Nov. 4th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel’s Monaco penthouse ballroom. The public is invited and proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Wilmette’s impressive service projects.

“Wine, Dine & Dance Latin Style” celebrates the wines of famed growing regions supplied by Schaefer’s, termed Chicago’s finest wine shop by the Chicago Tribune. Paired gourmet hors d’oeuvres come from the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, the benefit site, at Skokie Blvd. and Golf Road.

The Wilmette Rotary Club has sponsored valued service projects and crisis responses for 92 years. Recent examples are 75,000 books to inner-city schools, Thanksgiving dinner for 75 Wilmette seniors, contributions to New Trier Township organizations, water filtration for 100,000 people in India, x-ray units to Central America and Africa, shelter boxes for disaster victims and more. The club supports Rotary International’s “End Polio Now” campaign, a 25-year worldwide program that’s brought polio to the brink of extinction.
