PEER Services is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. PEER Services provides community-based substance use prevention and treatment services to teens, adults and families in Northern Cook County, including Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. PEER Services reduces the harms of substance use, addiction and stigma by engaging youth and adults with innovative prevention programming and by supporting people on their path to recovery through holistic, evidence-based treatment. Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing how we learn, work, create, communicate, and make decisions. Held at the historic Krebs Center for the Humanities, this five-week series offers an accessible introduction to AI while exploring the ethical, social, cultural, and philosophical questions it raises – through demonstrations, discussion, and real-world case studies designed to help participants become informed and thoughtful users of these emerging technologies. Each week will highlight a new topic and begin with a social reception featuring food and refreshments.

Held at the newly renovated Glen Rowan House, “Beyond the Melody” is an engaging lecture and live performance series that invites audiences to discover the remarkable artistry and individuality of four distinctive musical voices: the cello, flute, oboe, and a blues band. Each week spotlights a different featured instrument or ensemble, exploring its history, evolution, and role across musical traditions while revealing the fascinating ways it creates sound.
