Still With Us: New North Shore Grief Circle Explores Continuing Connection After Loss

Still With Us: Navigating Loss with Intuition and Spirit is a four-session series that will be held at the Winnetka Community House beginning on April 26, 2026. The small group is designed for individuals who are moving through grief and may also sense an ongoing connection with loved ones who have passed.

Unlike traditional grief support groups, Still With Us is not therapy. Instead, it offers a contemplative, spiritually grounded space where grief is approached as a meaningful and evolving experience. Through guided meditation, reflection, and shared conversation, participants are invited to explore the idea that love and connection may continue beyond physical loss.

The series draws gently from themes found in near-death experiences and spiritual traditions, while remaining open and non-dogmatic in its approach. It is intended for those who feel curious about the nature of the soul’s journey, or who have experienced subtle signs, dreams, or moments of connection following the loss of a loved one.

Each 90-minute session includes time for quiet reflection, optional sharing, and guided exploration of continuing bonds — the idea that relationships with loved ones can evolve rather than end.

The inaugural series will take place on Sundays at 2:00 PM on April 26, May 17, May 31, and June 14 at the Winnetka Community House.

While this first circle is being held in the North Shore suburbs, additional circles are planned for the North Side of Chicago as the series develops.
