Teen Robbed In Snapchat Deal For Tobacco Product
Police in Kenilworth said a 16-year-old Winnetka boy had his wallet stolen while attempting to buy JUUL Pods from occupants in a red Mazda.

KENILWORTH, IL - A teenage boy who was trying to buy a tobacco product from someone he met on Snapchat last weekend was robbed during the arranged meet-up in Kenilworth, police said.
The 16-year-old victim from Winnetka arranged to meet someone who offered to sell him JUUL Pods, a tobacco vaping product, in the 500 block of Melrose Avenue at 4:04 p.m. on Oct. 21, according to Kenilworth police.
A group of people arrived in a red Mazda and when the transaction was to be completed, a man in the passenger's seat of the vehicle grabbed the victim's wallet as the car fled southbound on Green Bay Road. The wallet was found minutes later by a witness near Green Bay Road and Melrose Avenue but $20 was missing.

The victim and three witnesses had varying descriptions of those in the vehicle. The passenger who grabbed the wallet and the driver were both described as white men around 18 years old with average or medium height and blond hair. Other occupants of the vehicle were also white men, with one of them possibly being a Hispanic wearing a bandana.
