Teen Tried Fake ID to Buy Beer: Cops
The 18-year old from Wilmette is accused of trying to pass off a false driver's license from Ohio.
A Wilmette teenager’s plan to use fake identification to buy beer at Walgreen’s over the weekend didn’t go as planned.
According to police, an officer observed “what appeared to be an underage male purchasing beer” at 9:37 p.m. on Saturday at the Walgreen’s at 3232 Lake Avenue.
When the offender, an 18-year-old man with a Wilmette address, was asked for identification, he presented a false Ohio driver’s license.
