Trick-Or-Treat Hours In Wilmette, Kenilworth For Halloween 2021

Village staff suggested residents leave treats by the sidewalk and wave to trick-or-treaters as they pass.

WILMETTE, IL — Village officials in Wilmette and Kenilworth have designed different days for neighborhood trick-or-treating for Halloween this year, which falls on a Sunday.

In Kenilworth, when Halloween falls on a weekend, trick-or-treating takes place on the Friday prior to Oct. 31. So, this year, it will run from 3:15 p.m. to dusk on Oct. 29.

According to village staff, the tradition was established so that trick-or-treating always coincides with the Sears School Halloween parade, allowing children already costumed for at school to head straight out into the neighborhoods.
