Trio Tries To Pay For Carson's Items With Counterfeit Money

Suspects fled the scene before police could arrive.

Three people attempted to pay for items at Carson Pirie Scott last week with counterfeit money.

According to a police report, two black men and one black woman presented counterfeit $100 and $50 bills as form of payment at the location at 3200 Lake Avenue in Wilmette at 3:45 p.m. on April 7.

The suspects fled the store and left the money there before police arrived.
