Uber Driver Clocked Going More Than 30 MPH Over the Limit: Police

SPEEDING

Anis Chaouachi, 35, of the 5400 block of North Rockwell Street, Chicago, was arrested and charged with speeding during a June 2 traffic stop.

Chaouachi, an Uber driver, was clocked going 63 mph in a 30-mph zone at about 1:31 a.m. near the intersection of Wilmette Avenue and Locust Road. 

DUI

Chase S. Adams, 29, of the 1900 block of Wilmette Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after a May 29 traffic stop.

Policed pulled over Adams at about 2:15 a.m. for multiple traffic violations in the 700 block of Illinois Road. During the stop, Adams failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

A search of his vehicle uncovered about 4 grams of a substance believed to be pot. At the police station, Adams refused to take a blood or urine test.
