Underage Drinking Party Busted, 2 Charged
A Wilmette homeowner and teen from Winnetka were charged following the Friday night bash on Chestnut Avenue.

WILMETTE, IL - An underage drinking party on Chestnut Avenue in Wilmette was busted on Friday and two people face charges including the homeowner.
Police showed up on a noise complaint in the 2100 block of Chestnut Avenue just before 11 p.m. on Jan. 22 and confronted Peter C. Sorenson, 18, Winnetka - an intoxicated juvenile - who was coming from the house and later made “several advances toward the officers and resisted arrest.” The homeowner, 54-year old Rebecca K. Smith-Stimson, also began to obstruct officers, according to a police report.
Numerous juveniles fled the scene as Sorenson was charged with obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and aggravated assault and Smith-Stimson was handed charges of obstructing and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
