UPDATED: 3,600 Wilmette ComEd Customers Without Power

A total of 7,242 customers lost power in the village because of Monday's storm.

Update as of July 12 at 1:46 p.m.

The Village of Wilmette issued an e-alert at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday saying 3,600 ComEd customers are still without power. Stay tuned to Patch for more information.

Approximately 7,242 ComEd customers in Wilmette lost power from Monday morning's thunderstorm, according to a press release from the Village.

Meanwhile 4,603 were still without power as of 4 p.m. today. Village hall remains in the dark and will stay closed until further notice, the e-alert states. Police Chief Brian King told Patch earlier Monday that authorities received 14 phone calls regarding downed live wires, . During the storm, .

The following evening meetings have been canceled:

  1. Park District Board meeting
  2. Environment and Energy Commission meeting 

The following evening meeting has been moved:

  1. Board Finance Committee meeting has been moved to the Wilmette Public Library at 5:30 p.m. 

 

Roughly 765,000 customers lost power because of the storm and 178,000 of these customers have been restored, according to the village.
