Wilmette Blotter: $2.4K in Retail Theft; Pot Charges Against 3
The following incidents were reported between May 24 and 31, according to Wilmette police.

THEFT
A bug lantern was taken from a home in the 1500 block of Lake Avenue between May 22 and 23. A UPS delivery containing a cell phone was also taken from the residence on May 24.

The seat of a Honda minivan was taken from a home in the 1500 block of Maple Avenue on May 30. The resident had taken the seat out of the vehicle and left it near the garage for 20-25 minutes. The item's value is estimated at $500.

Roughly $2,485 worth of clothing was stolen from Carson Pirie Scott on May 29. A woman at a nearby Starbucks coffee shop alerted a Carson's manager that she saw a black woman and black man flee from the east exit of the store into a small green car. The driver appeared to be waiting for the couple. Store security tapes later confirmed the witness's description. The items taken included 30 women's tops and 15 pairs of women's pants.

An employee at the BP Amoco station in the 900 block of Green Bay Road reported that a customer stole $60 worth of gasoline on May 29. The patron pumped 12.903 gallons of fuel and then fled west on Lake Avenue.
ACCOUNT FRAUD
A resident in the 2100 block of Greenwood, reported on May 26 that more than $500 in unauthorized purchases were made to her Citibank account. The resident told police that neither she nor her husband were responsible for the transactions that occurred between May 25 to 26. Most of the charges were sports related, including $107.63 at Golf Galaxy, $115.99 at globalgolf.com and $159.97 at Triathlete Sports.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A Honda Fit was vandalized when eggs were thrown at it overnight between May 30 and 31 in the 1200 block of Wilmette Avenue.
DRIVING ON REVOKED LICENSE
A Chicago resident was charged for driving on a revoked license and without insurance in the 2000 block of Wilmette Avenue. The man was stopped for traffic violations and later ticketed for driving without a seatbelt as well as driving with children who were not wearing seatbelts.
BATTERY
Wilmette police responded to an altercation between an Evanston man and Morton Grove man at Gillson Park on May 30. Police reported that the fight began when one man assaulted the other, whose elbow was bleeding when officers arrived. A breath test revealed that the attacker had a blood alcohol content of .287. He was later released to his friend, who wasn't under the influence of alcohol. Neither men wanted to press charges.
ARREST
A 22-year-old Wheeling woman was charged with failing to provide information after she struck two vehicles in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue and fled the scene on May 30.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Wilmette resident reported that a Chase bank debit card was created fraudulently. She became aware of the card when it was delivered to her house on May 26. The card was in her name, but was sent "in the care of" an employee at a Chase branch in Wilmette. The woman went into the bank to confront the employee, who said he didn't know anything about the account. The account was later closed and the card was destroyed.
POT POSSESSION
Three people, one each from Hoffman Estates, Niles and Northfield, were arrested on May 29 for marijuana posesssion in the 3200 block of Glenview Road.
