Wilmette Blotter: Woman Arrested for Stealing Hosiery

Residential burglary
A Toshiba laptop and a Tiffany gold bracelet were stolen between 10 a.m. Dec. 2 and 12:16 a.m. Dec. 3 from an apartment in the 3500 block of Lake Avenue. The door had been pried open. The loss is estimated at $470.

Four train cars were spray-painted between Dec. 2 and 5 at the Linden CTA Station.

The window of a BMW was smashed and a $200 radar detector was stolen from the car between 11 p.m. Dec. 1 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 2 in the 800 block of Chilton Lane.
DUI
Jennifer K. Choi, 26, of Skokie was arrested for DUI at 4:55 a.m. Dec. 3 at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Brandon Road. She was also charged with driving with only one headlight and no rear registration plate light and driving with an expired license.
Retail theft
Barbara Noparstak, 61, was charged with retail theft at 11:04 a.m. Dec. 3 at Carson Pirie Scott after she placed three packages of casual hosiery and a pair of gloves in her bag and left the store without paying for them. She said she had forgotten she had the items and left the store accidentally.
