Wilmette To Collect Large Tree Limbs Left By Recent Storms

The special pickup is for large branches from last week's storms, with smaller twigs going out as yard waste.

WILMETTE, IL — Residents dealing with storm cleanup can put large fallen or broken tree branches at the curb for a special collection set for Wednesday, according to the village.

The pickup will be handled by Wilmette’s Public Works crews and is tied to damage from last week’s storms.

The village said residents should bring only large tree limbs to the curb by the end of the day Tuesday, to help ensure crews can collect them on time.

The special collection is limited in scope. Smaller twigs are not part of this pickup and should instead be disposed of as yard waste.

Large limbs should be separated from smaller debris and moved to the curb before the Tuesday deadline. Material that is not placed at the curb will not be picked up as part of the special collection.
