From Wilmette Public Schools District 39: The District 39 Board of Education has contracted with SCHOOL EXEC CONNECT to aid in the search for the next District Superintendent. Three search firms were interviewed by the Board. Dr. Harry Rossi and Dr. Gary Zabilka are leading the team from SCHOOL EXEC CONNECT.
Superintendent Dr. Ray Lechner announced in February his plan to retire at the end of the 2018-19 school year after 20 years in District 39. The Board took the first step in finding his replacement by issuing an RFP for search firms. With SCHOOL EXEC CONNECT on board, the process will get underway.
District 39 is an elementary school district that serves pre-kindergarten through 8th grade students in Wilmette and in parts of Glenview and Winnetka.
