Wilmette Fire Department "Fill The Boot Day"

The Wilmette Firefighters Association collected over $3300 this past weekend (May 5 – 7) for “Fill The Boot Day” for the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance’s “Camp I am Me”. These donations make it possible for children and teenagers who have experienced injuries from burns to attend this camp at no charge. It is a week-long camp from June 18 – 24 this year. This camp provides the setting for child burn survivors to share their common experiences while being able to play and not feel self-conscious about their scars. A big thank you goes out to all that donated this year – we surpassed the donations from last year!
