Wilmette Obituary: E. Warren Geist, 95

E. Warren Geist entered eternal life on June 8, 2015 at the age of 95. Born in Chicago to Edwin and Mary nee Driscoll on July 14, 1919, he was a longtime resident of Wilmette. Warren was a Navy veteran of the aircraft carrier Hancock in the Pacific theater. He then built a successful career as a manufacturer’s representative, in which he traveled extensively through Wisconsin and Indiana.

Warren was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rosemary (Byrne), and his second wife Elaine (Shea). He is survived by his four children, Barbara Hilton, Linda (Michael) McGorrin, John Geist and Dr. James (Shin-Mey) Geist; proud grandfather of 6, great-grandfather of 6, great-great grandfather of 2, uncle to 4 nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends who will remember him fondly for his good nature and cheerful disposition.

Visitation Monday June 15, 2015 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass
10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church 1747 Lake Avenue Wilmette, IL 60091. Interment All Saints Cemetery Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hadley School for the Blind, 700 Elm Street, Winnetka, IL 60093.
