Wilmette Summerfest Runs All Weekend
Starting Friday, merchants will be joined by vendors of unique merchandise, artisans and crafters in downtown Wilmette.

WILMETTE, IL — This weekend is your chance to shop the sidewalk sales in downtown Wilmette, on Ridge Road, Green Bay Road, and in Plaza del Lago, where in addition to great shopping, there will be entertainment, food and activities for the entire family. On Friday, enjoy “Pre-Sidewalk Sale” specials at local merchants. Then on Saturday and Sunday, merchants will be joined by vendors of unique merchandise, artisans and crafters in downtown Wilmette.
On Saturday, enjoy a performance by beloved children’s entertainer Istvan & His Imaginary Band at 11:00 a.m., followed by free balloon animals from noon to 3:00 p.m.
When Istvan starts rocking kids can’t help but join in, sometimes on stage, while their moms and dads cheer them on and enjoy the original tunes, an irresistible mix of interactive rock ‘n’ roll, country, pop punk and sing-alongs that get heads bobbing. A longtime member of Chicago’s alternative music scene, Istvan started penning children’s tunes after the birth of his daughter, Evie, who often accompanies him on stage.

Second Hand Soul Band takes you back to the days when all that mattered was meeting your friends to dance the night away. This energetic, dynamic seven-piece band has many years of experience and really knows how to entertain. Between the funky hits of the 70's, one-hit wonders, the disco and the soulful songs of that era, organizers promise you will be moved to dance and sing.
