Wilmette Resident Supports Deborah's Place
Spouses of the Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush doctors joined together to volunteer at Deborah's Place, a housing center for homeless women.
Faye Jacobs (center in the photo above) of Wilmette organized other spouses and family members of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush (MOR) physicians for a festive New Year celebration at Deborah’s Place in Chicago recently. The group, called Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Significant Others (MORSO), served a hot meal and brought gifts such as toiletries, clothing and bed linens to the residents. The volunteers also enjoyed conversation, played games and sang songs. Deborah’s Place is Chicago’s largest provider of housing exclusively for women and provides other services such as counseling and meals to over 234 women escaping the cycle of poverty. This event is annually enjoyed by both volunteers and the women of Deborah’s Place. For more information about Deborah’s Place, visitwww.deborahsplace.org.
