Woman Flees Crash With Naked 2-Year-Old, Then Holds Off Resident With Knife: Cops
Charges are pending against an unidentified woman who hit 2 vehicles, then locked another woman out of her own home while avoiding police.

Wilmette, IL—A knife-brandishing woman locked herself and her naked, 2-year-old son inside a house in the 500 block of Isabella Street on Sunday night after fleeing a traffic accident a block away, according to Wilmette police reports.
Wilmette and Evanston police responded to a two-car crash at about 7:41 p.m. Sunday, July 17, in the 400 block of Isabella Street, the report stated. The unidentified woman was driving westbound along Isabella when she barreled through construction zone barricades over the canal bridge and hit a Bobcat tractor before finally colliding into an unoccupied parked car, the report added.
The driver then got out of her vehicle carrying her naked, 2-year-old son and fled the scene on foot, according to the report. The woman's 11-year-old daughter and two unidentified adults remained in the vehicle at the crash scene, and the report didn't indicate if they were injured.

Toddler in tow, the woman confronted a resident outside of her house in the 500 block of Isabella, the report stated. The driver, however, ran inside the resident's home and locked out the pursuing woman. She then advanced at the resident with a kitchen knife she found inside, the report added.
Although details weren't given, police were able to defuse the situation without incident, according to the report. The woman then was taken in to custody, and charges in the case are pending, the report added.
