Women (And a Few Men) Gather to Celebrate All Things Feminine
More than 100 people attended 'Woman to Woman' gathering in celebration of Women's History Month.
Attending a church service with the hopes that the sermon will have the word “yellow” in it, a random act of kindness from a Cook County prisoner, and the belief that total wellness can be achieved through five basic qualities we all possess are just some of the factors that led three women on their own journeys to living their dreams and inspiring others.
Welcome to . The event took place Wednesday at the Wilmette Theatre, 1122 Central Ave. Hosted by Herstorynetwork.com founder Mary Long and Chicago Tribune columnist and author of I’m Spiritual, Dammit! Jen Weigel, the evening was full of laughs and inspiration as the audience heard tales from the hosts and three special guests about the incidents in their lives that inspired them to take control of their own destinies and become the women that they are today.
Guests included Jennifer Connor, founder of Mustard Girl Mustards, Laura Caldwell, author of Long Way Home and founder of Life After Innocence and Shea Vaughn, creator Sheanetics. The event was catered by A Table For Two. And of course, there was wine.
