Women Stole Shopping Carts Full of Baby Formula From Jewel

Two women stole large amounts of baby formula from the Jewel in Wilmette despite being thwarted at first when trying to haul the merchandise out of the store in a shopping cart through the “in” door.

Police responded to the store at 411 Green Bay Road at 1:47 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3 after an employee witnessed the two African-American subjects “pushing carts containing baby formula” out the “in” door.

After the offenders were unsuccessful in that attempt, the employee told police they placed the baby formula into a garbage bag and left the store.
