On October 1, 2026 at 4:00pm and 7:00pm the MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival will be hosted by the Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch of AAUW at The Glen Art Theatre at 540 Crescent Boulevard in Glen Ellyn.
MANHATTAN SHORT is the World’s first Global Film Festival. The Ten Finalists in the 2026 edition were selected from over 800 entries from 74 countries. This year, for the first time in MANHATTAN SHORT 29-year existence, the Ten Finalists come from ten
different countries! At the conclusion of the films, audience members may cast a ballot for their choice of Best Film and Best Actor. These ballots are combined with ballots from over 500 viewing sites worldwide and determine the winner of the 2026 MANHATTAN

Proceeds from the Film Festival support the AAUW Scholarship Fund and other initiatives advancing equity for women and girls. The AAUW Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch awards four College of DuPage scholarships annually, to local high school students.

and Winfield.
