• With PR firm, design firm and more, Winnetka park officials ready to restart beachfront plans (therecordnorthshore.org) — Winnetka Park Board is restarting long-debated plans to refurbish Elder Lane and Centennial Park beaches, hiring consultants and a PR firm to reshape designs and public outreach. Commissioners emphasized earlier, deeper resident engagement and coordination with the Village of Winnetka to avoid another stalled review, with more than $250,000 budgeted for the next planning tracks.
