• 41 Winnetka Students Named 2027 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists (patch.com) — Winnetka families have big academic news as 41 local students from New Trier and North Shore Country Day have been named 2027 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. These seniors, representing less than one percent nationwide, will now submit detailed applications as they compete for prestigious scholarships to be awarded next spring.
   

• New Trier's Northfield Campus Adds Coffee Bar For Students (patch.com) — Students connected to New Trier's Northfield campus now have a new Trevian Coffee Bar option, highlighted in an announcement datelined Winnetka. The cafe offers customizable coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, and grab-and-go snacks, and features a partnership with BLK & Bold Specialty Coffee, which supports youth-focused nonprofits including Chicago-based groups.
